5S Supply is pleased to announce the release of its newest products from Gauge RangeTM. Gauge Range now comes in three styles:

  1. Starter Pack
  2. Standard Pack
  3. Super Pack

Refill packs for each style are also available.

Make it easy to see and know when everything is “good-to-go” with Gauge Range Marking System. These translucent self-adhesive sheets in red, yellow and green make it simple to mark gauges so that everyone can see if equipment is in the correct operating range. The gauge marking system comes pre-cut, with the most common sizes 1”, 1-1/2”, 2”, 2-1/2”, 4” plus full sheets to customize to your needs. Just peel and stick to mark your gauges for the correct range.

These Stainless Steel Mobile Tool Carts are perfect for tool organization in:

Made with 18 gauge brushed 304 Stainless Steel with an anodized aluminum frame makes it impervious to cleaning solutions and it won’t rust or corrode. It comes equipped with 3 inch neoprene castors — two locking castors, two fixed castors and a handle to make it easy to move around. It is only 21-1/2 inches wide and will fit through doors. The overall unit is 36-3/4 inch L x 39-1/4 inch H x 21-1/4 inch W with a tool storage area of 18 square feet. The 4-1/2 foot bottom shelf and top tray add extra storage. The A-frame design allows items to be placed on both sides of the cart and it can easily accommodate up to 650 lbs.

Combine the Stainless Steel LocBoard with the Stainless Steel LocHooks for a customized tool storage solution. The Stainless Steel LocHooks stay put with the two-and-four-point locking system. Four locking posts with two screws ensure that the hooks will not come out, but are easy to re-arrange if needed. Some assembly required.

The Stainless Steel Tool Cart comes with an optional 63 piece LocHook set (60 assorted LocHooks and 3 LocBins) or you can select your own combination of Stainless Steel LocHooks, bins and shelves.

I had the honor of working with the Society for Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the Modern Drop Forge Company (MF) to develop a new Total Productive Maintenance Blitz DVD in conjunction with the Association of Manufacturing Excellence (AME). As part of SME’s award winning Manufacturing Insights video series, this Total Productive Maintenance Blitz program follows a cross-functional team during a four-day kaizen event.

Watch as team members immerse themselves in a TPM kaizen event within a manufacturing cell. This program highlights how the team established which equipment to focus on, identified potential problems, determined the root causes for underperforming equipment, and then brainstormed improvement ideas. The team then quickly implements over 50 ideas, which resulted in the company saving over $50,000 per year by reducing production downtime by 50%, and scrap by 10%.
